What to Expect

Prior to your shoot, we’ll discuss what you’re looking to get out of your headshot session, such as package options and your choice of studio or outdoor locations. I also want to get to know you a little bit so that we’re not complete strangers when we shoot. If you would like to get together in person, I’m always up for a cup of coffee!

On the day of your shoot, we’ll start by talking more about specifics, including detailed location information and the clothing options you have. We can also look though my portfolio and you can let me know what you like and don’t like, so we can ensure you’re getting exactly what you want.

Once we begin shooting, you’ll instantly be able to view some previews on my camera so you can have a better idea of how things will turn out, and then the fun begins. Your headshot needs to be a reflection of you, and not a posed version of you sitting in front of a camera. The atmosphere is incredibly casual to ensure you are comfortable frame after frame. If we’re indoors, we can play your favorite music, and if we’re outdoors, well…we can’t. But that won’t stop me from trying to hum my way through your favorite tunes! Most of all, the shoot will be fun. The only way for your true self to shine is if you’re having a good time, and not only looking like you’re enjoying yourself, but actually enjoying yourself. I love what I do, and want you to feel the same way. While I can’t guarantee you’ll find my jokes funny, I can guarantee you’ll be entertained by my effort.

After the shoot, and tearful goodbyes at the subway station, I will rush right home to upload your images to my computer. After getting rid of the obvious flaws (eyes closed, mid-sneeze, etc), I’ll upload the remaining images so you can start the deliberation process right away. After you let me know your final choices, you will have the retouched high-resolution images within two to four days. And then, all you have to do is go and tell everyone you know that you found the perfect headshot guy: He’s awesome, affordable, and some might even call him cute!
